NATIONAL CADET CORE (NCC) 114/22 (A) BN
To develop national integration, patriotism, physical and mental strength, discipline and leadership qualities among students, this programme has been introduced for those who are interested in.

In 1983 - 84 educational year, an NCC platoon, with 55 cadets was sanctioned to our college for the first time. Lieutenant colonel Sri. K. Rama Raju acted as the programme officer from 1984 to 1989. In his leadership the unit was efficiently maintained and was appreciated by higher authorities. From the educational year1989 – 90, Dr V. Badarinarayana, reader in commerce has been acting as the programme officer On 1st August 2005, captain V. Badarinarayana was promoted as major. Our college NCC unit is associated with Guntur group, Tenali 22 (A) BN.

Students who have joined in NCC, should attend the classes regularly. Each cadet should have minimum 75 % attendance in parades and should be a cadet for two years in the unit and should have attended at least one Camp to appear for the “B” certificate examination. Each cadet should have 3 years service in the NCC unit with 75 % attendance and also should have attended at least two camps to appear for the ‘C’ certificate examination.

Those who possess NCC ‘C’ certificate will have 5% reservation in the university admissions. In addition to this, jobs related too army and other government jobs, they will be preferred in.

To develop their performance level, camps are conducted twice or thrice every year. Yearly training camps, Tracking camps, Advanced leader ship training camp, Army attachment camps, Parachute training camp, Mountaineering camp, Cycle expedition are conducted .


NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)
To develop National Integration the ideal of service in the students and to make use of the inner abilities for the society the central government has initiated this scheme. To develop respect on labour among students and also develop discipline and character this scheme is very useful. In addition to this, this scheme will be useful to the students to get familiar with the problems of the contemporary society, and the role they should play to get rid of them. This programme will also be useful for the students to develop carefulness in the illiterate rural and urban youth and get mingled with them for the development of the society, and also to develop leadership qualities.

The NSS unit is being organized in our college with 100 volunteers. Sri. Y. Devendra Prasad, lecturer in Commerce has been acting as the programme officer since 2004. Admission into this unit is voluntary. But the volunteers should attend the classes and participate in the social service programmes conducted by the unit. Each student who has got admission to in this unit should at least attend 120 Hours of social service. Those who have two years of service as volunteers are eligible to get NSS certificate.

Students who want to participate in the special service camps conducted by the unit for 10 days in the Dasara, Sankranthi, Summer holidays should have 75 % attendance in the social service programme conducted by the unit. In this way, every student should complete at least two special service camps as volunteer. All the volunteers who participate in the special service camps will be issued certificate by the A.N.U.

Those who have at least two special camps certificates in addition to the service certificate issued by the college will have preference in university admissions.
